With the fasting growing sport in Israel, pickleball is winning over all ages from Bethlehem to Jerusalem. But not everyone in the region is a fan.

Just over the border, Palenstinians are fuming at the daily provocations lodged by their centuries-old rivals. The piercing whack of each ball sends residents in the Gaza Strip scurrying for lower decibel cover.

"We cannot take it anymore!" cried Palestinian merchant Abdul Rachmahed. "They broadcast their games over stadium loudspeakers. It's one rocket after another. It never ends!"

Top Israeli pickleballer in the Men's Over 40 division, Yusef Liddel, steadfastly echoed Israel's sovereignty over the country's favorite pastime. "Israel has the right to engage in whatever acts best serve its people. Israel will always vigorously defend its right to play!"

At press time, sources say Palenstinian leaders staged a walkoff at the inaugural Israel-Palestinie Pickleball Acords when a leaked tournament schedule mandated participants play five games per day.
